AGILE members can propose AGILE-funded activities such as AGILE PhD School events. This activity is designed to increase the level of AGILE member’s participation, contribution to, and benefit from membership in AGILE. It institutes a relatively lightweight project-management structure.
Why propose an AGILE Activity?
The AGILE Council welcomes and wishes to support and to promote good AGILE Activity. There are several ways in which the Council can help to make it worthwhile for members to propose and to run initiatives:
- Providing publicity - spotlighting AGILE initiatives on web, newsletters, articles in magazines
- Networking and initiating new cooperation with AGILE members
- Providing limited funding from the regular AGILE budget
- Providing assistance in attracting third-party funding
- Providing limited human resources from within Council
- Providing time during annual conferences for initiative reports and showcases.
How to submit an AGILE PhD School proposal?
To submit a PhD School proposal for AGILE Council support, you need to do the following:
- Complete the Application Form. Indicate basic initiative attributes including responsible person, other proposed participants, planned start and end dates, expected results, etc.

The AGILE council will make decisions on applications during their autumn and spring meetings. - Approved PhD School proposal will be expected to utilize this web site and structure provided by the AGILE Council, i.e. the Council does not encourage a proliferation of diverse websites, blogs, etc.
- The AGILE Council will assign a Council member to monitor the accepted PhD School event.
- After the event, AGILE PhD School promotors are expected to provide basic documentation of achieved results to be published on the AGILE Activities section of the AGILE website and, if applicable, by additional other options.
