Initiative - Geoanalytics and spatial data science for eXtended Realities

Description: This initiative is intended to create a network of researchers interested in eXtended Realities (XR) and geographic information science. We expect that the initiative will facilitate existing and new collaborations leading to a stronger presence of GIScience in the emerging field of eXtended Realities and its connection to spatial data science, including AI. We envision that the initial funding will lead to medium and long-term research and education opportunities providing young researchers with a supportive environment and allowing established scholars to seek funding, including large scale proposals at the EU level.

Funding: 700€

Start date: March 2024
End date: March 2025
